Consults at UNC / Chapel Hill

Arrangements for referral care at UNC are indirect and somewhat tentative. Project Access is not involved, and our patients must be re-evaluated for financial need and may require a sliding-scale fee. Medications are only variably available. Care for other needs may (or not) be re-assigned to other specialists in the UNC system, including primary care.

Clinical Trials are another opportunity for specialty consultation and care. Patients need to understand that the care may be state-of-the-art, that the randomize / research process may not provide the care they're seeking.
